Chemical use in shrimp ponds
    The use of drugs and chemicals in shrimp ponds is a key issue it determines the survival of shrimp. If used improperly sizes, dosage will lead to unforeseen consequences. Here are the basic measures guided famers in part using drugs and chemicals to bring high results in shrimp ponds.
I.How to use drugs, medications:
 There are three methods of drug use in aquaculture.
         1. Bath method:

1. Ppm (part per million) ppm:
1 ppm is equivalent to:

2. Percent (per cent)%:
    * 1% is equivalent to:
   - 10g in 1 liter
    - 10 kg in 1 tonne
3. Dose mixed into food based on:

Total drug dose = use x number of pounds (or grams of food).
Example : Using  a dose of Vitamin C with 5- 10g/ kg food.
(This method is often used in shrimp farming, shrimp feed because of eating very easily calculated).
Shrimp body weight
Total drug doses used x = body weight.
Example : Mixing antibiotics with 30-50mg dose to 1 gram or 1 kg of body weight of shrimp.
   (This rarely used in shrimp farming)
III / problem diagnosis and treatment:

 * The amount of drugs brought into the pond is calculated as follows:
     + The volume of water:
Water volume = area x depth of pond water
